Progress on work to introduce new controlled parking zones (CPZs) or alter existing CPZs

Information about our current controlled parking zone (CPZ) projects.

Introducing a CPZ in Ladywell West

Following the recent installation of a new Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Ladywell West, parking permits are now available for residents and businesses within the area to purchase.

The new CPZ (Zone LW) will become enforceable on Monday 8 April 2019. If you want to park your vehicle on street on or after this date whilst the CPZ is in operation, you will need a valid parking permit.

Zone LW will operate from Monday–Friday, between 10am–12 noon. The boundary of the new zone is indicated by signs and you can view a plan showing the final design, including the boundary, online. All properties within the CPZ boundary shown on the plan will be eligible to buy a permit for the new LW CPZ.

If your property is located within this CPZ, you will need to purchase a permit for your vehicle if you wish to park on-street during the hours of control. Permits cannot be used to park in a different parking zone and vehicles must be parked fully within a marked bay. If you do not want to buy a permit, you or your visitors will need to park on your driveway or your land, driving over the pavement using a legal dropped crossover.

View permit details including prices, or apply for a permit.

When applying for your parking permit online, you should ensure that you select Monday 8 April 2019 as the start date of their permit, as this is when the zone will officially start.
