Food safety, hygiene and standards
Running a food business means that you have a responsibility to protect the health of your customers.
Registration of premises used for a food business (including market stalls, delivery vehicles and other moveable structures) is required by law.
Regular checks are carried out on all food premises to make sure the public is protected and high standards are maintained.
Find out about the Foods Standards Agency Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
Food labels are there to give us information on what we eat. Find out what you need to include in your labelling.
We run courses where you can get your CIEH Foundation Food Safety (formerly Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering).
