How our new parking policy will affect parking permit prices
Following a consultation with residents last summer, we are launching a new parking policy. The Mayor and Cabinet agreed on 15 January 2020 to implement the revised parking policy which will come into effect on 1 April 2020.
Work out if your parking permit price will change
We’re introducing an emissions-based parking scheme which means that vehicles with higher emissions will be charged a higher permit price. Diesel vehicles which are Euro-6 compliant will not be subject to a £50 surcharge.
The new permit prices will only affect applications and renewals made from 1 April 2020. Any permits purchased before this date will not be affected by the changes in the new parking policy.
Find out the revised cost of your parking permit with our permit calculator tool below. All you need is your vehicle registration number.
Visitor parking credits
Every household which has at least one paid annual parking permit will be provided with 10 hours of visitor parking credit for free, accessible via online or mobile device.
Residents who would like to purchase extra visitor parking credit can do so virtually or via scratch cards available at Lewisham Library.
You’ll be charged a flat fee for pay and display parking.
All pay and display parking will be £2.00 per hour, regardless of whether you pay in cash or PayByPhone.
Residents will be sent a letter detailing the new parking policy and the changes that will affect them.
