Folkestone Gardens

Find out about Folkestone Gardens in Deptford.

History

During the early part of the 20th century, this part of Deptford was an area of tightly packed streets. One of those streets subsequently gave its name to the park.

The Grand Surrey Canal then ran past what is now the northern end of the park, on its way from Camberwell and Peckham to the Surrey Docks.

Access

You can access the park from:

  • Rolt Street

  • Trundleys Road

  • Childers Street.

Facilities

Facilities include:

  • ball court

  • play area

  • picturesque pond

  • multi-sports pitch

  • skate park

  • café with access to toilets. The toilets are closed due to COVID-19.
