The park forms part of the New and improved walking and cycling routes that aims to improve walking and cycling routes in the north of Lewisham.

The park is included in the route that connects New Cross and Deptford.

Fordham park sits between two schools, Childeric Primary School and Deptford Green Secondary School.

New play elements for people of all ages has helped to bring communities together.

Fordham Park - Mayor's Great Space

Facilities and play equipment include:

  • a play area and sandpit for children under six 
  • a large climbing frame
  • a youth shelter
  • table tennis tables
  • an area for ball games
  • a trim trail
  • an informal football pitch
  • a cycle route.

How to get into Fordham Park

Access to the park is via:

  • Pagnell Street

  • Achilles Street

  • Edward Street

  • Childeric Road.

The park is open 24 hours.
