Visible darning & mending techniques

This short course is an ideal introduction for those who want to learn how to decoratively repair and extend the life & use of much loved textiles. We all have a favourite pair of socks where the heels have rubbed thin, or a wool cardigan or blanket with some moth holes that are simply too good to throw away! You will learn & sample hand stitching techniques such as darning & patching, and be introduced to the on-trend decorative technique of Sashiko. Please bring in a textile item that you wish to repair and have expert support & ideas on how to do this!
