What to do in an emergency
In an emergency always call 999. Lewisham SAIL Connections is not an emergency service.
About the service
It is a single point of contact with the various services and organisations in Lewisham that help older people stay safe and independent.
Who the service is for
People aged 60+ who need help with:
health and wellbeing
social inclusion and decreased isolation
fire safety and wider home security issues
personal safety and security.
Who can make a referral
People who can make a referral include:
professionals working with older people
relatives and friends of older people
people aged 60+ can refer themselves.
How to refer
You refer by:
- downloading or printing the checklist below
- completing the checklist, ticking the boxes next to the services required
- returning the checklist to Lewisham SAIL Connections by email or post using the contact details below.
What happens next?
The SAIL Coordinator from the Age UK Lewisham and Southwark office will call you and let you know that they have received your checklist.
They will confirm which services you need and might ask for some more details.
They can also answer your questions.
The SAIL Coordinator will then send a copy of your checklist to the local organisations and services you have requested support from.
Within six weeks, these services will get in touch with you by phone or letter asking how they can help.
