Kitbag

How to get your Kitbag of activities.
Can't find what you're looking for or worried about someone's safety?

Contact Lewisham Council.

The Kitbag is a chance for you to choose the activities you'd like to do, using the direct payment that you've been awarded as a result of your adult services community care assessment.

If you don't want an assessment, or want to remain independent of services, you can pay privately to use these services.

If you receive Council-funded services, you'll need to be financially assessed. This means that all of your income, including benefits and savings will be looked at to see if you need to pay towards your care. Our financial assessment team will write to you and let you know.

If you choose to be independent of Council-funded services you will pay the activity costs straight to the activity provider at the time and so won’t pay any care charges.

If you have Council-funded care, the invoice for that care will be sent direct to the Council’s adult services offices for payment via the direct payment team.

If you are assessed to pay towards the care, you will get a monthly invoice sent to you. You can arrange with your bank to pay the care charge invoices if you wish. Information will be sent to you to explain.
