Help to care for children
If you’re an adult receiving support from Adult Social Care - and you’re also a parent or carer for a child - there may be additional help available for your family.
We understand that caring responsibilities don’t stop with your own needs. Whether you’re looking for childcare, family services, parenting support, or you’re a young person helping care for an adult, we’re here to support you.
Finding childcare and family services
If you need help balancing your own care needs with parenting, you may be eligible for extra support.
We can help you:
- access registered childcare providers such as nurseries, childminders and out-of-school clubs
- find family support services that offer parenting classes, emotional support, and practical help
- get help with referrals if you're working with a social worker or family support worker
