Investment in communities is a key area of our work.

Community Investment Fund

Every year we invite invitations from residents, resident groups and community organisations for projects and support for Lewisham Council housing residents. The projects that are funded are chosen by residents. Get in touch for more information about applying to the fund, or assessing bids for the fund.

Training

We provide housing training to residents for free, these include CIH accredited courses, and training in areas that can support residents to gain increased knowledge in housing, and other areas that are of interest. Complete this form if you’re interested in this.

Social value and fundraising

We don’t have a budget for the projects we deliver and rely on social value, social value is added value (support/ funding) given to Lewisham council by our contractors and ensures they do more than just the work they’re contracted to do. We seek resident input on social value, particularly when estate based to ensure what we fund is what residents will find beneficial. We also apply for funding to organisations and charities for specific projects that can benefit residents. Projects funded through social value have included the community stores, youth projects and a hardship fund for residents to apply for.
