2025 TCS Mini London Marathon

The 2025 TCS Mini London Marathon is due to be held on Saturday 26 April 2025.

The TCS Mini London Marathon is the official British Athletics 2.6k road championships for young athletes aged between 11 and 17 - and if you're looking for a challenge, it's your chance to compete against the best new talent in British road running.

Previous winners of the Mini London Marathon and Mini Wheelchair Marathon include double London 2012 Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah, and competitors from the London 2012 Paralympics – silver medallist Shelly Woods and David Weir, winner of four gold medals.

About the mini marathon

The course is 2.6k long. The event is open to entrants from the nine regions of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and will include teams from all 32 London Boroughs.

To gain a place running for Team Lewisham, you will need to attend the Lewisham Mini Marathon trials.

Trials registration

Enter our trials and you could represent the borough in the 2025 TCS Mini London Marathon, a 2.6km run for young people, on Saturday 26 April 2025.

The trials will take place on Sunday 16 March 2025 at the Alex Yee Ladywell Arena.

The course will run on the arena track and through Ladywell Fields Park. The races are staggered by age group.

All runners must arrive by 9am, regardless of which heat they are running in. The deadline to register for the trials is 5pm on Monday 10 March 2025. You must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter. If you have any queries, please email: maya.onyett@lewisham.gov.uk.

You can register on the morning of the Trials at the arena from 8.45-9am.

Age groups for racing at the trials

The Championship 2.6K event will take place on Saturday 26 April 2025 for athletes in secondary school years 7 to 12 in the following age categories:

  • U17 men and U17 women, aged 15 or 16 on 31 August 2024 (school year 11 or 12)
  • U15 boys and U15 girls, aged 13 or 14 on 31 August 2024, (school year 9 or 10)
  • U13 boys and U13 girls, aged 11 or 12 on 31 August 2024 (school year 7 or 8)

Please note in accordance with UKA rules, pupils in year six are not eligible to compete.
