Privacy notice – Communications

Information about how and when the Communications Team processes personal information about you.

The following privacy notice applies to Communications. This includes:

  • the Lewisham Council website

  • photograph

  • any other personal information the Council needs to deliver the service to you.

Agencies we might share the information with

We may share your information with:

  • Dotdigital Group PLC is the data processor for our email newsletters and alerts, and for some of our online forms.

  • We work with other companies to offer prize draws. We only share your data with these companies with your express consent.

  • Department For Transport

Why we process your data

We process your data for:

  • sending you information you asked for by post or by email

  • sending you information that could help you cope during the Coronavirus outbreak

  • collecting information that you give us via an online form so that the Council can deliver a requested service to you

  • running prize draws and competitions

  • publishing information (including photos) about you in our publications

  • maintaining an online account so that you can log in and access services online

  • invoicing you for advertising services received. 

Advertising in email publications

We include advertising our publications in order to minimise the costs of their production. When you consent to receive emails from us, those emails may include paid adverts.
