Site allocations submission

Site allocation documents submitted for examination in 2012.

On 28 September 2012 the Council submitted its Site Allocations Local Plan to the Secretary of State for examination by an independent Planning Inspector.

This final document is known as the Site Allocations Local Plan (SALP) submission version. Alongside this plan the Council submitted a 'Schedule of Recommended Main Modifications' which includes recommended changes made prior to its submission in response to the representations received on the publication of the SALP proposed submission version in March/April 2012 and the introduction of the National Planning Policy Framework by central Government.

The proposed changes were consulted on from 1 October to 12 November 2012 and comments received on these changes during the consultation have been forwarded directly to the Planning Inspector to be considered at the Examination.

The SALP Examination was held on 17 and 18 January 2013. The Inspector will check that all legal requirements have been met and review and listen to comments from residents, stakeholders and businesses, as well as study local evidence. His draft report is excepted at the end of February 2013. For further details on the examination, see the SALP examination webpage.
