Important dates for the admission process for children starting primary school in September 2026.
School Admissions office closed
The School Admissions office will be closed Monday 17 August to Friday 21 August 2026.
You can still make and submit applications - the team will process them on their return.
Applications open (apply online): Monday 1 September 2025.
The deadline for applying for a primary school place is Thursday 15 January 2026.
Offers
| Results for applications | Thursday 16 April 2026 (you will get an email in the evening telling you where your child has been offered a place) |
| Deadline for accepting your offer | Thursday 30 April 2026 (if you applied online, you need to accept the offer online) |
Appeals
| Closing date for appeals for community schools in the borough | 19 May 2026 (admissions authorities of other schools may set the same or a later deadline) |
| Appeal hearings | May to July 2026 (if you submit an appeal after 19 May 2026, it will not be heard until the start of the academic year in September 2026) |
