Health improvement training

The health improvement training and learning programme is designed to help people improve health outcomes for residents.

Our training courses are targeted at individuals working or volunteering in the borough. The programme provides an opportunity for participants to develop and strengthen health improvement skills and competencies.

We aim to deliver quality assured training with key health promotion messages, which will equip you to identify opportunities to confidently promote health in your various work and community settings.

The key themes covered in this years training brochure are:

  • child health

  • emotional health and mental wellbeing

  • health promotion

  • screening

  • sexual health

  • substance misuse

  • workplace health.

If you or your organisation have a health promotion training need that is not met by the opportunities in the brochure, we will work with you to find out how your need can be addressed. Please contact healthimprovement@lewisham.gov.uk to request any specialist health improvement training.
