Sharing REAL
Sharing REAL is a fun and interactive group workshop for parents to help you understand and share ideas on how to support your child’s early learning. The workshops are run over four weeks, and you will learn new, free, and simple ways to support your child’s interest in books, early writing songs & rhymes, as well as meet other local parents.
Lewisham parents who attended Sharing REAL workshops are incredibly positive about how it has increased their knowledge, confidence, and preparedness to support their child’s learning. We asked 136 Lewisham parents about their experience of the Sharing REAL workshops, and every single one reported increased knowledge and confidence in how to support their child’s learning.
Healthy Families: Right from the Start Programme
This 8-week programme is designed to support parents and carers of children aged 0-5, helping them build healthier lifestyles and more confident parenting habits. It's focused. Families also receive a free HENRY toolkit full of resources and practical tips to help them along the way and a Healthy Families Right from the Start Handbook, which they use at each session and at home.
Reducing parental conflict
To help every child to have the best start in life, it is important to reduce harmful levels of conflict between parents - whether they are together or separated. You can get support with this visit the CAFCASS parenting together page to get advice and support on co-parenting.
Apply for the Family Mediation Voucher Scheme, which provides a contribution of £500 towards mediation costs in some cases cases, which supports resolving family law disputes outside of court, where appropriate.
