Postnatal health

Advice and guidance on looking after your health when you have just had a baby.

Make sure you keep to a healthy diet as this will help your energy levels if you are feeling tired. When your baby is six weeks old, you will be asked to go to your GP for a postnatal check up.

Some women can feel quite overwhelmed after their baby is born and it is important if you feel this way that you talk to your doctor or your midwife or health visitor about how you are feeling.
