When running a licensed premises, you have to comply with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. These require you to trade fairly with your customers.
What the rules say
The regulations ban traders from using unfair commercial practices towards consumers. They set out broad rules outlining when commercial practices are unfair.
Examples
For example, according to the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008:

Before they buy something, consumers must have information relating to the main characteristics of the product (e.g. brand of drink), the price, quantity, and trading name and details of ownership of the premises.

Some alcoholic drinks must be served in specific quantities.These include beer (⅓ pint,; ⅔ pint,; ½ pint, or multiples of a ½ pint), gin, rum, vodka and whisky (25ml, 35ml, or multiples of these) and wine (by the bottle or specified quantities by the glass or carafe).
