Our pupils shine in tests for 11-year-olds

The percentage of 11-year-olds in in the borough achieving the expected standard by the end of Year 6 has improved for the second year in a row, according to provisional results released on 10 July.

Flying start for our youngest learners

Provisional results across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 assessments indicate that children in the borough are getting a great start to their education.

More new homes on the way in drive to tackle housing crisis

Our commitment to deliver new council homes took a big step forward on 11 July 2018 as we agreed to fund £52m to build another 167 homes.
