Emergency preparations

By taking some simple steps you can reduce the impact of an emergency on you and your family.

Two things you can do easily are:

  • Make a plan which includes arrangements for where you and your family should meet up if you get separated.
  • Prepare an emergency bag that contains essential items in case you need to evacuate your home at very short notice.

Of course, it’s not possible to prepare for every eventuality, but some incidents are more likely to happen than others and you can prepare for these. Anything you do could mean less risk to life, less inconvenience and more peace of mind.
