What prior knowledge, experience and qualifications will I need?
No prior knowledge or experience is required, but a basic level of English, maths and computer skills would be useful.
Learning Goals:
Learn how to hold your device to get the best picture.
Explore light sources.
Understand how to use manual photography settings on a smart phone.
Learn tips on composition in digital photography.
What teaching methods will the tutor use?
The tutor will use a range of teaching methods during the class, including demonstration, one to one tuition, group work, observation, discussion and question and answer sessions.
What assessment methods will the tutor use?
The tutor will use various methods to assess your progress during the session.
Will extra work be required outside the class times?
This is a short taster class and does not require any additional work.
What materials will I need for the course and how much will they cost?
Please bring your smartphone or tablet. You may also find a notebook and pen useful.
What do I need to bring to the first class?
You'll need a digital device that can take photos, such as a smartphone or tablet.
