Watergate School

Watergate School is a mixed primary school for pupils aged 3 – 11. It caters for pupils with severe learning difficulty and profound and multiple learning difficulty. The school is accessible for non-ambulant pupils.

As this is a specialist provision, pupils are normally required to have an education, health and care plan. All specialist provision is intended for young people who have high level needs that are severe or complex and enduring.. Specialism

Severe learning difficulties and associated learning difficulties such as autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

National Curriculum Level

Across the school, range of attainment is from the earliest levels of development through to early National Curriculum levels for a small number of pupils at Y6.

Dual placements

Access to a mainstream curriculum in a mainstream school may be an appropriate part-time placement through a dual placement agreement. Groups of pupils also link with pupils from local mainstream schools to participate in learning activities together.
