Level 3 advanced courses

If you already have:

• 5 GCSEs A*-C (or equivalent)
• NVQ level 2
• BTEC First

then you should be aiming for level 3 advanced courses, including:

• A-levels including applied A-levels
• BTEC National or BTEC Higher National
• NVQ level 3
• Apprenticeship at level 3

Level 2 intermediate courses

If you already have:

• 4 GCSEs C, D, E (or equivalent)
• NVQ level 1

then you should be aiming for level 2 intermediate courses, including:

• BTEC First
• NVQ level 2
• Apprenticeships at level 2

Level 1 foundation courses

If you already have:

• GCSE grades E, F, G (or equivalent)

then you should be aiming for level 1 foundation courses, including:

• GCSEs
• NVQ level 1
