Notification of Publication of London Borough of Lewisham’s Draft Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026 and Notification of the Public Inspection period

Notice is given that the publication of the draft statement of accounts, including pension fund accounts, excluding the AGS for the year ended 31 March 2026 has been published on this website.

Draft statement of accounts 2025/26

In line with the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the associated accounting records and related documents are made available for public inspection. The full draft statement is now made available for public inspection between 16 June 2026 and at least 27 July 2026, this is 30 working days from the day after publication of the draft statement (the final date to be determined as 30 working days after the AGS has been added to the draft Statement of Accounts).

Notification of Publication of London Borough of Lewisham’s Audited Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025

Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015

Regulation 16(1) of The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 requires the Council to publish on its website a statement:

that the audit has been concluded
that the statement of accounts has been published
of the rights of inspection conferred in local government electors by section 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the address at which, and the hours during which, those rights may be exercised

However, the audit cannot yet be formally concluded until the National Audit Office (NAO) confirms completion of the Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) audit for 2024/25.

The auditors have confirmed that this outstanding work does not affect their opinion on the Council’s financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2025.

Notice is hereby given that the audited statement of accounts for 2024/25 has now been published on this website.
