Notification of Publication of London Borough of Lewisham’s Audited Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025

Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015

Regulation 16(1) of The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 requires the Council to publish on its website a statement:

  • that the audit has been concluded
  • that the statement of accounts has been published
  • of the rights of inspection conferred in local government electors by section 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the address at which, and the hours during which, those rights may be exercised

However, the audit cannot yet be formally concluded until the National Audit Office (NAO) confirms completion of the Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) audit for 2024/25.

The auditors have confirmed that this outstanding work does not affect their opinion on the Council’s financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2025.

Notice is hereby given that the audited statement of accounts for 2024/25 has now been published on this website.

The notice of conclusion of the audit will be added to this website alongside the audit certificate as soon as this is issued.
