What prior knowledge, experience and qualifications will I need?
An interest in exercise is desired. No prior knowledge is required, however a willingness and ability to participate is essential.There will be a pre-course assessment.
Learning Goals:
To participate in exercises on a weekly basis.
TTo create own exercise routine during the term.
TTo expand knowledge in area of anatomy, physiology and how the body works and learn a minimum of two facts during the term.
To exercise social skills through pair, small group or whole class work. on a weekly basis.
What teaching methods will the tutor use?
Whole class performance and disscussions, small group work, one-to-one attention, demonstrations, internet research, peer feedback.
What assessment methods will the tutor use?
Observation., the successful completion of set tasks, completion of ILPs, practical group activities, photo & video evidence.
Will extra work be required outside the class times?
Learners can practise skills learnt in class between lessons. This is beneficial to making progress. Sharing individual activities with the class is encouraged.
What materials will I need for the course and how much will they cost?
Appropriate sport wear and soft shoes. Layers of clothing as physical activity will generate body heat.
What do I need to bring to the first class?
