Fun summer activities despite COVID-19

Read about family-friendly activities and virtual events for a wide range of ages.

This school year finished with a bit of a whimper, after so many pupils were required to spend term-time at home... Restrictions to keep us safe mean the school holidays are looking different this year, but there are still a range of fun activities on offer. Here are some ideas. Please note that a fee is payable for some of these activities: check with the provider for details.

Youth First – Instagram LIVE schedule

Youth First has a packed programme online! Join virtual youth club sessions Monday to Saturday throughout the summer, from Monday 27 July.

Register for interactive virtual projects including girls’ workshops, writing challenges and the Universal Safety programme.

Choose between STEM, art, sports or and adventure-focused camps made up of video activities promoting learning, skills, and exploration. Video playlists are broken up into activities for teens and ones for younger kids, and families can use fun bingo cards to check off everything you accomplish over the summer.
