What we do

The Shared Lives scheme offers vulnerable adults the opportunity to live with approved families and carers within their local community. Shared Lives is an alternative to residential or in-home care for disabled adults and older people.

What information we collect

We may collect client data, including:

  • address
  • date of birth
  • ethnicity
  • relationships information (next of kin, etc.)
  • health information
  • referral information (including behavioural information)
  • other agencies involved
  • case history
  • risks.

We may collect carer data, including:

  • name
  • address
  • contact details
  • date of birth
  • ethnicity
  • family details
  • personal history
  • employment history
  • bank details
  • health details
  • GP details
  • mortgage or landlord details.

Agencies we might share the information with

  • health agencies

  • carers.
