Report fraud

If you suspect fraud then you can report it to the Council's fraud hotline or in the case of Housing Benefit fraud, you can report it to the Department for Work and Pensions.   The Department for Work and Pensions has taken over responsibility for investigating Housing Benefit fraud. You can report Housing Benefit fraud with the Department of Work and Pensions via the following methods:   Telephone: 0800 854 4400 Email:www.gov.uk/report-benefit-fraud  The Council will continue to investigate allegations of fraud involving housing tenants, Council Tax, Business Rates, grant claims, help with social care costs, and staff fraud as well as some other types of fraud.   When reporting fraud, you do not have to give your name if you don’t want to.
