Public recycling banks

Find out where in the borough you can recycle your unwanted clothes and textiles as well as small electrical items at our public use recycling bins.

There are a number of public recycling banks in Lewisham. They're available for use by all residents, and are emptied weekly. They must not be used for commercial or business waste.

Textile recycling banks

You can recycle clothes, shoes and fabric materials at textile banks across the borough:

Small electrical and electronic equipment recycling banks

At these sites, you can recycle any item that is powered by a plug or batteries, including cables and leads. However, the maximum item size we can accept is 28cm by 23cm. Anything larger can be recycled at our Reuse and Recycling Centre at Landmann Way or by booking a bulky waste collection.

Devices such as laptops, tablets and smart phones can be donated to Catbytes (whether they work or not). Catbytes will repair them and redistribute them to local people in need.
