Potholes, roadworks and road markings

We are responsible for road markings on all streets except red routes.

A pothole is where the surface of the road has been eroded and a hollow has formed.

It is a statutory requirement under section 58 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 for us to give notice to utility companies of roads which we propose to resurface.

Lewisham Council has received highway maintenance funding from reallocated HS2 funding.
