Types of short breaks

We provide or fund three different types of short break services: universal, targeted and specialist.

Anyone can access universal short breaks. These include services for both children and young people with or without disabilities.

If your child's disabilities mean they can't access universal services, you may be eligible for targeted short breaks.

If your child can't access universal services because they have a disability and high level of need, you may be eligible for specialist short breaks.
