What prior knowledge, experience and qualifications will I need?
Hand eye coordination manual dexterity. No knowledge of how to train your body required, however a willingness and ability to participate is essential.There will be a pre-course assessment.
Learning Goals:
To maintain good fitness and improve co- ordination by participating in set exercises on a weekly basis.
To develop skills to exercise as part of a team or with a partner.
To learn the routines to improve cardio vascular fitness.
To achieve a personal goal associated with the subject.
What teaching methods will the tutor use?
Within this small supportive class, your tutor may use the following teaching methods that will be inclusive for all abilities and levels, so that all learners make good progress towards their goals: demonstrations, discussions, 1:1 support and practical group activities.
What assessment methods will the tutor use?
Assessment may include: informal question and answer, feedback, self-assessment, quizzes, games, portfolios and case studies.
Will extra work be required outside the class times?
It will be beneficial for you to practise what you have learnt in class in your everyday life and you may be asked by your tutor to complete something specific to enhance your new skills and improve your confidence.
What materials will I need for the course and how much will they cost?
Loose clothing: sports shirt, tracksuit, layers, socks and trainers.
What do I need to bring to the first class?
A4 folder for notes and handouts.
Options when finished
Go on to other courses within Adult Learning Lewisham, e.g. Fitness Activities, Table Tennis, Short Mat Bowls or Fitness Activities.

We expect a commitment to attend well. This is beneficial to making progress. If you have problems in class with your work or with other learners please speak to your tutor or contact the curriculum leader. Enrolment on the course is through interview with the supported learning curriculum leader. Please book an appointment.
