Sculpt and sense: a tactile art workshop

This is a fun and friendly art course where we make 3D sculptures using our hands. We will explore soft, hard, smooth, and bumpy materials to build art you can touch and feel. You don’t need to be able to draw or write, just come ready to explore and enjoy. We will look at artists like Nnena Kalu, who uses colour, shape, and texture in exciting ways. Each week, we will try different materials that offer interesting textures and shapes. You can work on your own or with others. There is no right or wrong, just your own way of making art. This course is for learners with high support needs. We will work slowly, with lots of help, and use clear instructions, pictures, and examples.
