What prior knowledge, experience and qualifications will I need?
No prior knowledge assumed.
Learning Goals:
Exploring how to use your phone, tablet or iPAD and setting up Wi-Fi connections.
Learning how to adjust settings on your mobile phone (Samsung and Apple iPhone).
To gain the ability to keep safe online and recognise common features of scams.
To gain confidence in using the internet, e.g. online shopping, online banking, buying tickets or booking appointments.
What teaching methods will the tutor use?
Demonstrations, question and answer, discussions, practical worksheet and one to one support.
What assessment methods will the tutor use?
There will be informal assessment through observation, quizzes, discussion and feedback on your work produced.
Will extra work be required outside the class times?
For consolidation purposes practice outside of class is recommended.
