What prior knowledge, experience and qualifications will I need?
No prior knowledge or experience is required to enrol on this course.
Learning Goals:
Develop your lettering skills.
Explore and use a range of colour and papers.
Produce a stylised portfolio of your work.
Identify and achieve a personal goal as discussed with your tutor.
What teaching methods will the tutor use?
The tutor will use a range of teaching methods during the course, including demonstration (both group and individual), one to one tuition, group work, progress assessments, observation, discussion and question and answer sessions.
What assessment methods will the tutor use?
The course tutor will use a range of methods to assess your progress during the course. These may include observation, evaluation of work samples and question and answer sessions.
Will extra work be required outside the class times?
The tutor will discuss this with you in your first session.
What materials will I need for the course and how much will they cost?
You are expected to provide your own calligraphy materials and equipment for this course. The tutor will discuss this in the first session. Basic materials will be available for the first class. No liability can be accepted for expenses incurred for a course cancelled or altered at short notice.
What do I need to bring to the first class?
This is a practical subject, so please wear suitable clothing.

Please note that ALL cannot be held responsible for any items including work, materials and tools left by the learner in our workrooms. Learners are expected to remove items during the holiday periods, at the end of the course and in accordance with disposal deadlines set by the tutor.
