Public information days to be held in Catford on the Bakerloo line extension proposals

As part of Transport for London’s (TfL) third round of consultation on the Bakerloo line extension, public information days will be held in Catford.

While the online consultation invites the public to give their views on the proposed extension and a potential further extension on to Hayes, these public information days will allow the residents and businesses the opportunity to speak directly to TfL staff about the proposals.

The next information day event will be held at the below location:

  • Thursday 5 December 2019, 12 noon–6pm: Catford Mews, Catford Shopping Centre SE6 4JU

The Bakerloo line extension proposals include: a possible further extension to Hayes, providing better connectivity to Lewisham, with more frequent trains running every 3–4 minutes into the heart of London from Ladywell, Catford and Lower Sydenham; and the alignment of a tunnel under the Old Kent Road to New Cross Gate and Lewisham.

By extending the line down to Hayes, thousands more social homes and jobs will be created in places like Catford, Bellingham and Sydenham. It would improve local air quality, provide up to four time more trains beyond Lewisham on the Hayes line, and deliver thousands more homes and jobs, including affordable housing.

Running until 22 December 2019, TfL’s consultation invites residents and businesses to show their support and give feedback via an online survey.
