Lewisham Interfaith Forum comes together virtually to share a message of solidarity

The Lewisham Interfaith Forum (LIF) has a virtual message of solidarity and peace to share in place of the Interfaith Peace walk.

LIF was established in 2018 bringing faith communities of the London Borough of Lewisham together to promote knowledge, understanding and mutual respect between different faiths.

The annual Lewisham Interfaith Peace walk was scheduled to take place on Sunday 7 June 2020. Due to COVID-19, this was cancelled following Government guidelines. LIF wanted to do something to show unity and hope for the community of Lewisham during these challenging times and has put together a video of the faith leaders coming together virtually.

LIF have quarterly general meetings with the next meeting being held virtually on Monday 9 November 2020 at 6.30pm. Visit the LIF website to find out more or learn how to become a member.

To support all faith communities throughout Lewisham during coronavirus, Dr Catherine Mbema, Director of Public Health at Lewisham Council is running online information sessions for the safe use of community spaces during the COVID-19.

Our next session is on 10 August 200 at 11:30–12:30am. Sign up to attend the online information session.
