Changes announced to Cabinet

The following changes to Cabinet were announced by the Mayor of Lewisham, Damien Egan, at a meeting of Full Council last night:

• Cllr Will Cooper has joined the Cabinet to take up the role of Cabinet Member for Housing Management and Homelessness. Cllr Cooper is taking over from Cllr Sophie Davis, who has decided to step down from her cabinet role due to work commitments.

• Cllr James-J Walsh has become the full-time Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Communications, having previously been serving in the role as a job share with Cllr André Bourne. Cllr Walsh is taking over responsibilities from Cllr Bourne, who is stepping down from his cabinet role due to work and family commitments.

• Cllr Juliet Campbell has taken on responsibility for the Community Safety brief as part of her existing role as Cabinet Member for Communities, Refugees and Wellbeing.

• Cllr Paul Bell has taken on responsibility for the Public Health brief as part of his existing role as Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care.
