Louise Ward

I am a naturally kind, caring, empathetic, supportive and helpful person. I have a full driver's licence and can use my car if need be. Also I am fully trained in first aid. I am patient with the ability to remain calm in all situations. I have a cheerful disposition – I really am always cheerful, pleasant, friendly, personable with all service users and colleagues. I realise the importance of demonstrating these personal attributes as not only does it help me manage each day positively but it puts the people I support at ease and helps them feel comfortable and respond in a positive way when being supported for example with personal care. I have the ability to multitask which I have demonstrated in my previous role – ensuring each task is performed with diligence, accuracy and the level of care remains high. I am able to deal with unexpected occurrences and difficult situations ensuring service users are safe, comfortable and health and safety practices, policies and procedures are followed. I would always ask for advice if unsure or report to my manager of any safeguarding issues without hesitation. I am a good listener – I take time to listen both to feedback, general conversations and any issues communicated with me-also recognising the need to be sociable and supportive of service users, colleagues and their carers. I am an excellent time keeper – I always arrive at work early and am aware of the importance of good time management so as not to impact on other staff or service users. I will likewise always go the extra mile to ensure the needs of the people I am supporting are met before I leave work. I am willing and keen to train to develop my skills so that I can provide the best care possible.
