Lewisham leisure centres reopen on Monday
Downham Health and Leisure Centre, Forest Hill Pools, Glassmill Leisure Centre and Wavelengths gym facilities open on Monday 12 April.
All centres have seen some developments to ensure they are COVID-secure, clean and comfortable to use.
Fitness classes will not resume until changes to Government guidance allow for indoor group exercise.
In line with COVID-19 guidelines, there will be reduced opening hours, significantly reduced capacity with a one-way system in place, as well as changes to the layout of gym equipment to allow you to maintain social distancing whilst exercising.
You will need to book your sessions. Find information on opening hours and how to book for each centre.
If you need guidance on booking through the GLL/Better app then you can call 07387 105144 for support. The line is open Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm from Monday 12 April.
If the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown remains on course, Bellingham Leisure and Lifestyle Centre will open on 17 May, when children’s soft play will be permitted.
At Wavelengths, the 25 metre swimming pool is undergoing some essential maintenance work, in partnership with the Council’s new leisure partner, GLL/Better.
