Important dates for the admission process for children starting secondary school in September 2027.

School Admissions office closed

The School Admissions office will be closed Monday 17 August to Friday 21 August 2026.

You can still make and submit applications - the team will process them on their return.

Applications

schools open for visits: September/October 2026 (please check on school websites for up to date open day/evening information)
applications open (apply online): Tuesday 1 September 2026
closing date for applications: Saturday 31 October 2026 (we recommend that you submit your online application by Friday 23 October 2026)
closing date for supplementary forms (if required) to be returned to the school directly: Saturday 31 October 2026

results for on time applications: Monday 1 March 2027 (you will get an email in the evening telling you where your child has been offered a place)
deadline for accepting your offer: Monday 15 March 2027 (if you applied via the eAdmissions website you must accept the offer online - you should keep a record of your login details)

closing date for appeals for community schools in the borough: Thursday 15 April 2027 (admissions authorities of other schools may set the same or a later deadline)
appeal hearings: May-July 2027 (if you submit an appeal after 15 April 2027, it may not be heard until the start of the academic year in September 2027)
