Lewisham’s parks shine at London in Bloom 2025
Lewisham has once again demonstrated its commitment to protecting and enhancing the borough’s natural spaces.
The London in Bloom Awards is about celebrating and recognising the brilliant projects to make London a cleaner, greener and more beautiful place to live. The awards recognise the dedication of local authorities, volunteers and community groups who work tirelessly to care for London’s parks and open spaces.
Lewisham’s 2025 award winners were:
- Gold for Large Park - Beckenham Place Park
- Gold for Large Park - Mountsfield Park
- Gold for Large Park - Forster Memorial Park
- Gold for Small Park - Brookmill
- Gold for Small Park - Frendsbury Gardens
- Gold for Conservation Area - Devonshire Road Nature Reserve
- Gold and Category Winner for Large Park - Blythe Hill Fields
- Gold and Category Winner for Conservation Area - Garthorne Road Nature Reserve
- Gold and Category Winner for Biodiversity Award - Chinbrook Meadows Horticultural Society & Community Orchard
- Silver for Large Park - Mayow Park
Each of the winning spaces reflects the borough’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, biodiversity and inclusive community spaces. From wildlife ponds and meadows to community orchards and nature reserves, Lewisham’s parks continue to provide vital habitats for wildlife and much-loved green spaces for residents.
Cllr Louise Krupski, Deputy Mayor of Lewisham and Cabinet Member for and Environment, Transport and Climate Action, said:
