Lewisham's 'Class of 2020' receive A-level and vocational results

At the end of an academic year like no other, the ‘Class of 2020’ received their results, which this year have been calculated based on teacher’s predictions and statistical modelling.

While many students have been celebrating, there have been others across the borough who have been left disappointed by their results, and have been working with their schools and colleges to understand the next steps they need to take.

Teachers and support staff have been working hard to support students through this time and ensure they are aware of all the options available to them in September.

There have been individual success stories across schools and colleges in the borough including Prendergast Sixth Form, Haberdashers Aske’s Knights Academy and joint sixth form, Sydenham and Forest Hill School. Many students are celebrating great results that will see them head off to top universities later this year, including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Imperial College, Manchester and Edinburgh.

However, for many students, this week will have been confusing and unsettling. Any students who are unsure what to do next should seek support their school or college as soon as possible. Find out about online support and workshops to discuss your options.
