Maintain records of patients' care, conditions, progress and problems. Report and discuss observations with family members. Administer prescription oral medication under the written direction of the doctor or under direction of a home care nurse or assistant. Ensure that patients take their medication. Provide patients with help moving in and out of bed, bath and wheelchair. Dressing and grooming care for patients by changing bed linen, washing and ironing laundry, cleaning or assisting with their personal care. Also preparing healthy meals, entertaining with conversation or read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert.
