Lewisham Primary Care Recovery Service (PCRS)
The Lewisham Primary Care Recovery Service (PCRS) is a recovery focused service providing integrated drug and alcohol interventions. In participating surgeries your GP, Nurse or Health Care Worker can make an appointment for you with a specialist PCRS Worker. It might be you are using more then you’d like and would like to speak in confidence to a specialist worker. At your first meeting we will talk to you about your drug or alcohol use, we won’t judge you. Your treatment plan will be developed by you and your specialist worker. You can drop into our service where we deliver support groups, women’s group, mindfulness sessions, key working sessions and a drop in service. We also provide Opioid Substitute Therapy working alongside GPs and pharmacists including: • Assessment • Titration • Community detox, access to in-patient detox and residential rehab Our alcohol services include: • Advice, information and brief interventions • Extended interventions • Nurse led community detoxifications, access to in-patient detox and residential rehab The service will provide you with: • Tailored key-working • Pre and post detox support • Group work and peer support • BBV screening • Onward referrals • Aftercare support This service is provided at eight GP surgeries across the borough. Aftercare Support Lewisham We provide a network of groups and activities across Lewisham for those who have completed treatment and wish to maintain abstinence. Offering free and confidential aftercare support to give you with the tools you need to make your recovery a success. The aftercare service utilises the 5 ways to well being framework. The 12 week programme is designed to maximise well being, build confidence, strengthen their commitment to abstinence, and build resilience and self efficacy.
