Find out how to reserve library items.

Reserve books through the catalogue

If an item is on loan or at another branch, you can reserve it.

Our online catalogue lists all the material available in Lewisham libraries as well as books available through our new Catalogue. You will receive a notification when your reservation is ready for collection.

What you can reserve

You can reserve books, language courses, DVDs and music CDs.

What you pay

  • Adults pay 50p per item.

  • Under 14s do not pay for reservations.

  • There are no charges for reserving digital items. 

How to reserve a library item

You can reserve items by telephone, at your local library or online.


You will need your library barcode number and PIN. To get your PIN contact your local library.
