Giving notice of marriage or civil partnership
It is with regret that due to further COVID-19 restrictions all notice appointments are suspended until further notice and should only take place in exceptional circumstances.
The guidance reads as follows:
These should only take place in exceptional circumstances, for example, an urgent marriage where one of those getting married is seriously ill and not expected to recover, or is to undergo debilitating treatment or life-changing surgery.
If you feel you have exceptional circumstances that should allow your notice appointment and ceremony to take place, please email us at email@example.com and kindly provide evidence of this. Please be aware that these ceremonies will have a maximum capacity of six people, which includes the couple and two witnesses.
We are not rescheduling or booking any new dates for ceremonies until restrictions are lifted.
All postponed notice appointments will take priority when restrictions are lifted and we hope to make extra availability to cover this.
