I am a 50-year-old male with extensive experience in healthcare. Having started nursing as a healthcare assistant in the early 90s, I then joined the NHS where I trained and worked extensively in mental healthcare, mainly in secure environments. I left NHS in 2000 and worked in the community for a charitable funded organization as the manager of a community based unit, reintegrating service users with mental health issues back into the community. Last qualification: NVQ 3 promoting independence in care. At present I do voluntary work as a learning mentor at a lewisham primary school.
