Order a bin or request a removal

Order a new bin, request a bigger bin or ask us to remove a bin.
Bank holiday recycling and food waste collections

If your recycling and food waste bins are normally collected on a Monday, we’ll be collecting them a day later due to the bank holiday.

However, if your recycling and food waste bins are collected on another day, we’ll be aiming to collect them normally (due to the shutdown of the Blackwall Tunnel on Saturday).

Garden waste subscriptions and bin removals

Subscribe or renew your subscription for the year April 2024 to March 2025.

Residents can subscribe by paying the full amount of £93.50 using a debit or credit card. Subscribed residents can expect to receive a sticker within 10 working days. New subscribers without a bin can expect to receive their bin within 10 working days.

If we have removed your bins

We will not give you a new recycling bin or food waste bin if we had to remove your old one because you used it incorrectly. You would have received letters from us advising on this prior to removal. To make sure you use your bins correctly, find out what items can go in your recycling and food waste bins.

Request bags if you live in a property without bins

If you live in a property that has no space for bins (i.e., flat above a shop) you will be issued orange bags for general household waste and clear bags for recycling. They're delivered on a quarterly basis (usually in March, June, September, December).

Request a bigger bin

In exceptional circumstances, we can provide a larger rubbish bin for your property if you meet certain criteria.

Let us know if your bin's been damaged, and request a repair.
