Library charges and fines

Since 2020 we have been conducting a review of our charges and fines for library items including books, DVDs, audiobooks on CD, music CDs and language courses.

At present we do not charge fees for reserving items or for overdue items. We do, however, expect borrowers to renew their items regularly and to return items that can no longer be renewed (for example when another user has reserved the the item).

Digital Publications

Our eBooks and digital audiobooks, newspapers and magazines are free to download and they automatically disappear from your device at the end of the loan period.

Charges for other services

Photocopying

Lewisham's hub libraries are currently unable to offer a photocopying service, but selected community libraries offer this service. 

Printing

Lewisham's hub libraries offer printing through the Princh website, payable by credit or debit card only. You can print from our public PCs (library card required) or from your own device.

Hiring library spaces

Most of our libraries have meeting rooms or event spaces which can be booked. Please contact the libraries for more information or follow the links for photos and pricing.
